October 18, 2018 - The Mariposa County Sheriff's Office reports Deputy Crane located a skunk with a plastic cup stuck on it’s head last night while on patrol.

mariposa county sheriff logoHe immediately notified Sergeant Charman who responded right away (as you can see from the video he never exited his car).

Deputy Crane felt bad for the skunk but was obviously reluctant to approach it.

Deputy Crane mustered the courage and after nearly 10 minutes of trying to use his baton to pull off the cup (as shown in the video), grabbed the cup with his bare hands and freed the skunk from it’s bonds!
