Roads Open
-Highway 140 and El Portal Road from Midpines to Yosemite Valley
-Wawona Road (Hwy 41) from Wawona to Yosemite Valley

-Big Oak Flat Road (Hwy 120 from the west) from Big Oak Flat Entrance to Foresta.
January 17, 2019 - Yosemite National Park reports Yosemite is forecast to receive up to about five inches of rain and two to three feet of higher-elevation snow through Thursday.
As a result, all roads leading to Yosemite Valley are closed.
-Highway 140 and El Portal Road from Midpines to Yosemite Valley
-Wawona Road (Hwy 41) from Wawona to Yosemite Valley
-Big Oak Flat Road (Hwy 120 from the west) from Big Oak Flat Entrance to Foresta. (Access will be possible between Yosemite Valley and Foresta, conditions permitting.)
Note: Highway 140 between Midpines and El Portal closed at 7:00 pm. Wednesday.
Update: Per Caltrans: STATE ROUTE 140 IS NOW OPEN AS OF 6:30 AM ON 1/17
These closures will last until further notice. Within Yosemite, road crews will evaluate roads on Thursday morning.
Be prepared for additional road closures and tire chain requirements. Call 209/372-0200 (then 1, 1) to check road conditions inside Yosemite and 800/427-7623 for conditions outside Yosemite.
Yosemite Ski & Snowboard Area will be closed on Thursday.
