May 29, 2022 - Merced – A gang member in possession of several firearms was arrested after shooting at a local indoor range.
On May 28, 2022, at approximately 4:00 P.M., officers with the Merced PD Gang Unit were notified that several subjects who were believed to be gang related brought several firearms into a local indoor shooting range. Gang Officer Arnulfo Centeno received the information and found that one of the men identified as Adrian Rosales (27) was prohibited from possessing firearms.
The officers contacted the subjects as they exited the shooting range. Rosales was identified on video at the range shooting numerous weapons the group brought with them. The firearms including two 9mm handguns, a .22 rifle, a 12-gauge shotgun and an AR-15 rifle were seized. The investigation also revealed that Rosales is a documented gang member.
