TRAFFIC ADVISORY 
One-Way Traffic Control & Highway Closure for March 17-23, 2024 

March 15, 2024 - MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control and full highway closure this week on State Route-49 (SR-49) for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:

STATE ROUTE 49

  • Full highway closure at Miller Road – Old Highway for bridge work beginning Monday, March 18, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Tuesday, March 19, through Wednesday, March 20, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control from Shilling Road to Crown Lead Road for sign work beginning Monday, March 18, through Friday, March 22, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • One-way traffic control at Joe Howard Road for utility work beginning Saturday, March 23, to Sunday, March 24, 2024, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or materials and construction related issues.
