Homicide Investigation 

March 16, 2024 - Fresno Police Department officials report that on March 14, 2024, at 10:54 p.m., Northeast officers responded to 1475 East Bulldog Lane for a report of a gunshot victim. Officers found 31-year-old Joel Rueda in the courtyard, suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered CPR until EMS arrived and pronounced him deceased on scene.

Homicide detectives discovered that the victim was shot in a nearby apartment. Investigators are interviewing the occupants of the apartment and searching for additional witnesses. We are asking anyone with information on this case to contact the Fresno Police Department. This was the sixth murder of the year.
