April 24, 2024 - Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office officials report on Tuesday, Deputies were at Curtis Creek Elementary School and confirmed there is no threat to the students or staff on campus following a false report made by a student.
Around 12:30 P.M. Tuesday afternoon deputies responded to Curtis Creek Elementary after a report of a suspicious person on campus which caused the school to go into lockdown. While deputies were responding school staff determined it had been a false report made by a student. Deputies continued their response to ensure the school was secure and remained on scene to assist the school community.
The safety of our schools and our children will always be a top priority for our sheriff's office, and we will always take reports of possible threats to our schools seriously.
