May 24, 2024 - Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) officials report on Thursday, May 16th, 2024, the Sheriff’s Office  in collaboration with the State of California Unified Cannabis Enforcement Task Force (UCETF), executed six search warrants. This joint operation resulted in the eradication of approximately 10,000 marijuana plants being illegally cultivated in the Jupiter area of Tuolumne County. During the operation several environmental violations were discovered, including pollution, littering and diversion of local waterways.

The Sheriff’s Deputies primary focus of these operations is to investigate crimes related to illegal firearms, narcotics and trafficking, which are commonly discovered through investigations of illegal cultivation sites.
