TRAFFIC ADVISORY
One-Way Traffic Control for December 1-7, 2024
November 27, 2024 – MARIPOSA COUNTY – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will conduct the following one-way traffic control this week on State Route 49 (SR-49), and SR-140 for maintenance and construction operations. Work is scheduled as follows:
STATE ROUTE 49
• One-way traffic control from Harris Road to Stumpfield Mountain Road for drainage work beginning Monday, December 2, through Friday, December 6, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Stumpfield Mountain Road to Tiptop-Usona Road for tree work on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Wass Road East to Brooks Road for tree work on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from the Stockton Creek Bridge to Ben Hur Road for tree work on Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Mount Ophir Road to Old Toll Road for tree work on Friday, December 6, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
STATE ROUTE 140
• Long-term one-way traffic control on eastbound SR-140 from SR-49 South to 7th Street for crosswalk construction beginning Thursday, December 5, at 7:00 p.m. continuing through to Monday, December 9, 2024, at 6:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from Sweetwater Creek to the Savage Trading Post for tree work on Monday, December 2, 2024, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Whitlock Road to Yosemite National Park for pavement work beginning Monday, December 2, through Thursday, December 5, 2024, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
• One-way traffic control from Whitlock Road to Yosemite National Park for sign work beginning Monday, December 2, through Friday, December 6, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• One-way traffic control from beginning of the passing lane in Catheys Valley to State Route 49 North for sign work beginning Monday, December 2, through Friday, December 6, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials and construction related issues.
