Court Deputies Catch Church Burglar, Recover Stolen Property
November 28, 2024 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that Deputies have arrested 38-year-old Guadalupe Corrales of Fresno. He has been booked into jail on charges of burglary, possession of stolen property and probation violation. He is currently not eligible for bail.
Around 7:00 a.m. on Wednesday, deputies assigned to the courts were proactively conducting security foot patrols in Courthouse Park. They noticed suspicious activity with a man, later identified as Guadalupe Corrales, who was walking near the Superior Courthouse carrying a video camera, laptop, audio interface, headphones and tripod.
Deputies contacted Corrales and learned he was on probation. A further investigation revealed the electronics in his possession were reported stolen from a church located near N. Abby Street and E. McKenzie Ave. in the city of Fresno. Deputies contacted Fresno Police, and together they worked to return the items to the church.
