Music On The Green 2025

April 27, 2025 – The Mariposa County Arts Council's Music on the Green returns to the Art Park this year for a full season of live music starting on Friday, June 6th!

One of Mariposa’s longest standing community programs, Music on the Green features free, live concerts every Friday and Saturday of the summer at the Mariposa County Art Park. Produced by Andy Roberts and the Mariposa Arts Council, Music on the Green supports both local and traveling musicians from all genres and draws visitors and residents alike to Mariposa’s vibrant, historic downtown community.

MAC Nunes
Ted Nunes and his band, Richfield to perform on Friday, June 6

Opening the 2025 Music on the Green concert series will be the great Ted Nunes and his band, Richfield, on Friday, June 6. Ted Nunes and Richfield are the epitome of the Central California/San Joaquin Valley Americana sound. It’s honestly surprising that Ted and his band haven’t outgrown Music on the Green. This band could play on any stage in the world and please any audience. Ted is a masterful singer and songwriter, and his band is about as good as they come—supporting him with tight, lush vocal harmonies and probably the best pedal steel player you’ll ever hear. It is a real treat to have this band return to the Mariposa Art Park. If you don’t catch them here, you may be paying top dollar to squeeze into one of their sold-out concerts at top venues across the country in the near future.

MAC Voodoo
No Voodoo Here to perform on Saturday, June 7

For the first Saturday of the 2025 Music on the Green series, Saturday, June 7, we are beyond pleased to present the roots reggae phenomenon from the Central Valley: No Voodoo Here. Led by the super-charismatic vocalist/guitarist John Glaspie, the band features Tarah Artino on vocals and keyboards, James Glaspie on bass, and Logan Ables on drums. They blend classic reggae with rock, funk, psychedelia, and dub. No Voodoo Here brings conscious lyrics, deep vibes, and genre-bending energy. Their influences include Bob Marley and Jimi Hendrix… This will be an evening not to be missed!

All performances begin at 7:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) at the Mariposa County Art Park (5013 Hwy 140) in historic downtown Mariposa, CA. Parking is available along 4th and 5th St. The lower 5th Street parking lot provides an accessible pedestrian path to the Art Park through the Mariposa Creek Parkway entry. Tips for the performers will be solicited, encouraged, and appreciated. A complete schedule of the talent performing throughout this summer season can be found at: www.mariposaartscouncil.org/music-on-the-green; weekly updates will be shared on the Mariposa Arts Council’s Facebook and Instagram pages (@MariposaArts).

Special thanks to Music on the Green’s producer, Andy Roberts, for his many hours on and off the stage. His dedication to Mariposa’s music community is a key part of this program’s legacy; the Arts Council deeply appreciates Andy and his contributions.

The Arts Council is an incorporated not-for-profit organization, created to promote and support all forms of the cultural arts, for all ages, throughout Mariposa County and is supported in part by the County of Mariposa, the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency, and the California Arts Council, a state agency.
