April 27, 2025 – Modesto Police Department officials report that on Friday night, detectives assigned to work Organized Retail Theft Operations arrested 4 subjects for charges related to organized retail theft. 

Detectives assigned to the Property Crimes Unit, along with other personnel, were conducting Organized Retail Theft Operations alongside community business partners within our city, when they came across a group attempting to victimize one of our retailers. These individuals were caught red-handed and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for several felony charges. It was discovered this group had committed thefts from 6 different stores in 3 different cities but met their match when they came across the hardworking Detectives of the Modesto Police Department!

Over $6,000 in property was recovered and returned to the businesses who were victimized.
