Detectives Working to Identify Elkhorn Market Burglary Suspect(s)
April 30, 2025 – Fresno County Sheriff's Office officials report that property crimes detectives are asking for the public’s help to identify the owner(s) of a pickup truck involved in a burglary at the Elkhorn Market.
On April 23, 2025, deputies responded to 3126 W. Elkhorn Ave. for a reported burglary. The Elkhorn Market, which was closed at the time due to the recent death of its owner, had been broken into. The suspect(s) stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise.
Nearby security cameras captured images of a possible suspect vehicle. It is a blue, older model pickup truck with a square body style, which was in the area between 1:00 am – 3:30 am. The truck may have an extended bed and chrome rims.
It is worth noting the former owner of this business was killed in a vehicle crash near the market on March 21, 2025. Family members of Mr. Harbans Singh Lehra have been doing their best to continue operating the store during this very difficult time.
