May 6, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that a juvenile suspect has been arrested and booked into the Juvenile Justice Center in connection with a strong-arm robbery at Park Shopping Center.
On Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 9:50 p.m., Northeast officers were dispatched to the River Park Shopping Center regarding a physical disturbance. Officers arrived and contacted the 17-year-old female victim. During the investigation, officers learned that an unknown female suspect demanded the victim’s purse, and the victim refused to give it to her. The suspect then began forcefully pulling the purse away from the victim and struck the victim in the face with her fist. The suspect was able to gain possession of the victims’ purse and fled the location on foot and left the area in a vehicle.
Cellphone video of the assault and robbery were provided to detectives, along with information of the vehicle the suspect fled the area in. Northeast detectives immediately conducted follow-up on the case and were able to positively identify the 15-year-old female suspect. Detectives have obtained a warrant for her arrest for the strong-arm robbery case.
The suspect is on active probation, and officers are actively searching for her. It has been determined that she no longer resides at her last known address.
