Homicide Investigation 

May 11, 2025 – Merced Police Department officials report that on May 9, 2025, at approximately 11:13 P.M., officers with the Merced Police Department were dispatched to a residence in the 800 block of Buena Vista Dr. in the city of Merced regarding a report of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject suffering from a gunshot wound.

Merced Police officers immediately rendered life-saving aid; however, the victim tragically succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
