May 11, 2025 – Fresno Police Department officials report that on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, Southwest DST officers conducted follow-up regarding a firearm investigation. They contacted a male subject who is a prohibited person from owning and possessing firearms. The male was detained, and a protective sweep was conducted, where additional firearm contraband was observed. Officers authored a search warrant for the residence and the search yielded nine firearms, approximately 60 opium poppy plants (cut/scored), marijuana plants, and thousands of various rounds of ammunition. The male was arrested and booked in the Fresno County Jail on various weapons and drug related charges.
Evidence from the initial investigation led to the identification of a suspect related to firearm sales and a search warrant was authorized. On Thursday, May 8, 2025, during a search of the residence, three firearms were recovered. The male was arrested and booked into the Fresno County Jail for weapons related charges.
