Modesto Soccer Coach Arrested for Possession of Child Pornography 

September 26, 2025 – Modesto Police Department officials report that detectives with the Modesto Police Department’s High-Tech Crimes Unit arrested 32-year-old Efrain Aguayo Jr. of Modesto on Thursday after receiving multiple tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) regarding Aguayo uploading child pornography.

Detectives served a search warrant at Aguayo’s residence, where multiple electronic devices were located. These items will undergo forensic analysis. Aguayo was arrested and booked on a charge of PC 311.11(a) – Possession or Control of Child Pornography.

During the investigation, detectives learned that Aguayo is a coach for a Modesto youth travel soccer team. The organization was notified of his arrest. At this time, there is no evidence indicating that players from the soccer team were affected.

This remains an active investigation.
