September 26, 2025 – Clovis Police Department officials report that Clovis Police Detectives have arrested one suspect and are looking for another in two separate and on-going cases involving prolific Organized Retail Theft (ORT) from multiple stores in Clovis and Fresno. Both suspects were documented stealing goods and then selling them to the same local business for resale over the summer. During a search warrant at a home in Clovis on Wednesday, detectives recovered evidence and arrested 37-year-old Sean Byer of Clovis for multiple felonies related to ORT. Following the search warrant, detectives contacted employees at Cell Now at Ashlan/Fowler in Clovis for further investigation. Employees at the store fully cooperated and handed over almost $20,000 in confirmed stolen goods that the suspects had sold to them. The goods that were sold were stolen from other stores such as Target, Best Buy, Dicks Sporting Goods, Harbor Freight, and Guitar Center.

Detectives are still looking for 45-year-old Daniel Duncan of Pennsylvania, who is wanted for several ORT-related crimes. He also has 5 local arrest warrants from other law enforcement agencies.
