Cold Case Homicide – Help Us Bring Justice for Hector Girol
September 26, 2025 – Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on September 9th, 2000, shortly before midnight, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a suspicious death in the town of Copperopolis.
The victim was later identified as 47-year-old Hector Girol.
Hector was located in the shower of his residence with multiple gunshots to his body, which ultimately was the cause of his death. His death was deemed a Homicide, and the case remains unsolved to this day.
