snf326Stump Springs is now in preparation for repairs and contractors have started mobilizing on the High Sierra Ranger District. The Dinkey Lakes Road Repairs contract was just formally awarded, with both Tamarack and Dinkey Mill expected to follow soon after, marking nearly 400 miles of road repairs.

Keeping the momentum, contractors began assembling on the Bass Lake Ranger District on Monday, March 24, marking the beginning of road repair operations on Nelder Grove and Whiskey Falls. A road repair contract has also been officially awarded for road repairs on Clover Meadow and will address an additional 110 miles of road improvements. Contractors are expected to assemble by mid-April.

Each of these projects will improve access and safety conditions across the Forest. Forest Service roads and bridges are lifelines for rural America, supporting recreation opportunities and community access for the entire San Joaquin Valley. Travelers are advised to be watchful of heavy equipment and personnel in all project areas. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
