April 1, 2026 – Merced County Sheriff's Office officials report that Coroner’s Bureau needs the public's help locating the family of 51-year-old Jose Antonio Bermudez IV.

The Coroner's office believes Jose has family in California, but their whereabouts and information are unknown.

It is crucial to locate the immediate family members so the Coroner's Office can release the body and allow him to have a proper burial.
