UPDATED TRAFFIC ADVISORY
One-Way Traffic Controls for May 2-9, 2026
May 2, 2026 – Mariposa County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49), SR-132, & SR-140 in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
State Route 49
- One-way traffic control from Penon Blanco Road to Shilling Road for traffic signal work on Monday, May 4, and Thursday, May 7, through Friday, May 8, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Bagby Vista Point to Shilling Road for utility work on Monday, May 4, and Friday, May 8, through Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Idle Wheels Road to the Merced River Bridge for utility work on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
State Route 132
- One-way traffic control from the Tuolumne/Mariposa County line to Black Oak for utility work beginning Monday, May 4, through Friday, May 8, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control just west of State Route 49 / Coulterville for drainage work on Monday, May 4, and Thursday, May 7, through Friday, May 8, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Daneri Road to Piney Creek for utility work beginning Thursday, May 7, through Friday, May 8, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
State Route 140
- One-way traffic control from Redbud Lodge to Yosemite Cedar Lodge for pavement repair work on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control at Fourth Street for sign/banner work on Monday, May 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
