TCSO Detectives Arrest Suspects in Connection with Earlimart Murder

May 9, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that on May 7, 2026, TCSO Detectives arrested 26-year-old Alexander Torres and 32-year-old Ramon Delgado of Earlimart in connection with the murder of 43-year-old Ruben Chavez last month.

On April 16, 2026, Chavez was found dead near a Highway 99 off-ramp in Tulare County. During the course of a lengthy investigation, TCSO Homicide Detectives identified Torres and Delgado as the primary suspects in the case.
