May 15, 2026 – CAL FIRE officials announce up to $30 million is available through CAL FIRE’s NEW Regional Wildfire and Landscape Resilience Grant Program, funded by the 2024 California Climate Bond (Proposition 4).
As CAL FIRE and its partners expand landscape-scale resilience and forest health efforts statewide, the Department is seeking regional collaboratives ready to implement large-scale, multi-benefit projects that improve landscape health, strengthen community resilience, and reduce wildfire risk.
Eligible projects include hazardous fuels reduction, prescribed and cultural fire, reforestation, biomass utilization, and workforce development efforts that support long-term resilience.
Concept proposals are due June 30, 2026. Selected applicants will be invited to submit full proposals in phase two.
