May 19, 2026 – John C. Fremont Hospital Foundation officials announce that on May 13, the JCF Hospital Foundation hosted a John C. Fremont Healthcare District Board Information session. The event was well-attended both in person at the Mariposa County Board Chambers and through Livestreaming online.

The Healthcare District currently has two vacant positions it wishes to fill as soon as possible.

The District is holding a special meeting on Wednesday, May 20, at 3:00 P.M. for the board to review the submitted materials, interview the candidates, and to vote. There are three Healthcare District board positions up for a vote in the November election. For those interested in running, the candidate filing window is July 13 through August 7. You should contact the Mariposa County Office of Elections at (209) 966-2007, for official filing guidance.

• Rose Fluharty, John C. Fremont Healthcare District Board President, who discussed the roles and responsibilities of the district board;
• Danielle Bondshue, Board Clerk for the Mariposa County Board of Supervisors, who

discussed expectations of a public board and Brown Act highlights; and

• Courtney Progner-Morrow, Mariposa County Clerk and Elections Official, who discussed candidacy filing requirements.
