May 23, 2026 – Fresno Police Department officials report that 57-year-old Rayford Eaton of Fresno has been booked into the Fresno FPD EatonCounty Jail.  He is facing felony charges of repetitive theft, vehicle burglary, identity theft and possession of stolen property.  He is not eligible for bail due to the repetitive theft charge.  This repetitive theft charge was established after California voters passed Proposition 36 in 2024.

Eaton is believed to be responsible for numerous vehicle burglaries across the Central Valley.  During these break-ins, property, namely credit cards, were stolen and then used to make purchases.
