July 1, 2026 - Stanislaus National Forest officials say this week we hold in our hearts those involved in the recent tragedy in Colorado, and honor all those who have fallen in the line of duty.

The Week of Remembrance bridges two of the most devastating tragedies in wildland firefighting history, the firefighter entrapments on the Yarnell Fire on June 30, 2013 and the South Canyon Fire on July 6, 1994.
