Neighbor Dispute Leads to Stabbing and Arrest Overnight 

July 2, 2026 – Clovis Police Department officials report that two men are in the hospital, and one is under arrest today following a dispute and stabbing at an apartment complex in Clovis last night. Just before 10:00 P.M. on June 30, 2026, Clovis Police officers were dispatched to the 300 block of W Santa Ana for a physical disturbance between two neighbors. As officers responded, it was reported that one of the two men involved had been stabbed. Officers arrived quickly and provided medical assistance along with EMS.

Our patrol officers’ investigation shows that the two men were arguing, and it turned into a physical disturbance. As they were fighting, one man stabbed the other before being knocked unconscious. Both men were transported to the hospital where they remain today for treatment. The suspect has been identified as 48-year-old Alvin Reid of Clovis. Reid will be booked into Fresno County Jail for assault with a deadly weapon once he is released from the hospital.
