July 10, 2026 – Mariposa County Library officials report that on Thursday, July 23rd they will be offering a presentation with Yosemite Ranger Connie Lau on Japanese American artist Chiura Obata.
Join Ranger Connie Lau as she shares about Chiura Obata, a Japanese American artist celebrated for his stunning portrayals of Yosemite's high country on Thursday, July 23, 2026.
The last 15 minutes will be dedicated to silk screening the Yosemite Reading Ranger Program logo. Please bring your own tote bag, T-shirt, or fabric to print on; cotton material works best!
Black ink and other materials will be provided.
This event will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Mariposa Library and does not require registration.
