Lane & Ramp Closures on State Routes 99, 152 & 165 for July 12-18, 2026 

July 11, 2026 – Merced County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Routes 99, (SR-99) SR-152 & SR-165 in Merced County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

State Route 99

  • Full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Mission Ave Over-Crossing for work beginning on Sunday, July 12, through Friday, July 17, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
  • Full on-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at MLK Jr Way/SR-59 for work beginning on Sunday, July 12, through Friday, July 17, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at MLK Jr Way/SR-59 for work beginning on Sunday, July 12, through Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full on/off-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at 16th Street Over-Crossing for work beginning on Sunday, July 12, through Friday, July 17, 2026, from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • One way traffic control on SR-99 southbound at East Atwater over-crossing for work beginning on Monday July 13, to Friday July 17, 2026 from 9 a.m. to 4 pm.
  • Full off-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Hammatt Ave Over-Crossing for work beginning on Monday, July 13, through Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  • Full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Winton Parkway Over-Crossing for work beginning on Monday, July 12, through Thursday, July 17, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
  • Full off-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at Winton Parkway Over-Crossing for work beginning on Monday, July 12, through Thursday, July 17, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

State Route 152

  • One lane closure on SR-152 from San Luis Dam Service Rd to Romero Grade Crossing for shoulder work on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3 p.m.

State Route 165

  • One-way traffic control from 6th Ave to SR-140 for shoulder work on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, to Friday July 17, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Motorists should expect 5-to-10-minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. All work is scheduled to occur as listed but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment/materials, and construction-related issues.
