Assault Investigation 

August 10, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that deputies are investigating an assault that occurred on Sunday evening in the area of Highway 190 and Road 284 in Porterville.

At approximately 5:14 p.m. on August 9, 2026, deputies responded to the area and located a 60-year-old male who had been physically assaulted.

The victim was airlifted to a local hospital for medical treatment.

TCSO Detectives and Crime Lab personnel have been called to the scene and will take over the investigation.
