August 21, 2026 – Tulare County Sheriff’s Office officials report that they are investigating a fatal domestic violence incident that is being treated as a murder-suicide.

Around 3:10 p.m. Thursday, TCSO Deputies were called to the 16500 block of Crystal Street in Woodville for a reported domestic violence incident. While deputies were responding, they were told that someone had been shot.

When they arrived, deputies went into the home and found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

The 30-year-old woman was transported to Sierra View District Hospital, where she later died from her injuries. The 40-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. A gun was found in his possession.

A child was present at the time of the incident.

Although the investigation remains ongoing, preliminary information indicates the domestic violence incident turned fatal and is being investigated as a murder-suicide.
