Highway Ramp Closures on State Route 99 for September 6-12, 2026 

September 4, 2026 – Merced County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 99, (SR-99) in Merced County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:

STATE ROUTE 99

  • Overnight full on and off-ramp closures on northbound SR-99 at SR-59/Martin Luther King Jr. Way for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight full off-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at SR-59/Martin Luther King Jr. Way for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight full on and off-ramp closures on northbound SR-99 at Winton Parkway Overcrossing for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight full on and off-ramp closures on southbound SR-99 at Winton Parkway Overcrossing for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight full on and off-ramp closures on northbound SR-99 at Shanks Road Overcrossing for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight full on-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Shanks Road Overcrossing for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight full on-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at Bradbury Road Overcrossing for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight full off-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Bradbury Road Overcrossing for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight full off-ramp closure on northbound SR-99 at South Turlock/Golden Gate Blvd. Overcrossing for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
  • Full off-ramp closure on southbound SR-99 at Mission Avenue Overcrossing for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. 5:00 a.m.
  • Overnight full on and off-ramp closures on southbound SR-99 at the 16th Street Undercrossing for pavement work beginning Thursday, September 10, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or construction related issues.
