TRAFFIC ADVISORY
One-Way Traffic Controls for September 6-12, 2026
September 4, 2026 – Mariposa County – The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will have traffic controls in place for the following construction and maintenance activities on State Route 49 (SR-49) and SR-140 in Mariposa County next week. Work is scheduled to occur as follows:
STATE ROUTE 49
- Overnight one-way traffic control from Miller Road to South SR-140 for electrical work beginning Tuesday, September 8, through Friday, September 11, 2026, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
STATE ROUTE 140
- One-way traffic control from Yosemite Bug Hostile to Briceburg Road for wildfire beginning Friday, September 4, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
- One-way traffic control at Savage Trading Post for sign/banner work on Tuesday, September 9, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- One-way traffic control from Dry Gulch to Foresta Road for highway construction work on Thursday, September 10, 2026, from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Conventional highway traffic break from the Bear Creek Bridge to Yosemite National Park for utility work on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Motorists should expect 5-10 minute delays and use alternate routes whenever possible. This work is scheduled to take place as listed, but is subject to change due to traffic incidents, weather, availability of equipment, and/or construction related issues.
