September 13, 2026 – Mariposa County Library is hosting a library card design contest to celebrate the libraries 100th anniversary.
It's been three years since our last library card design contest, and that is three years too long! We are hosting another card design contest this fall to celebrate our 100th anniversary as a library.
Applications will be available starting next week at county library locations.
This contest is open to Mariposa County residents of all age. Participants must have a library card. No use of artificial intelligence is allowed, and designs should celebrate the love of libraries.
Submission deadline is Friday, October 30, 2026.

- You must have an active Mariposa County library card to participate!

Two winners will be chosen from the contestants, one from the adult category (ages 18 and above) and one from youth (ages 17 and below).
The winning designs will be printed on Mariposa County Library cards.
All submitted designs that meet the required criteria will be displayed at the Mariposa Library throughout December. The winners will be announced on November 13th at the library's 100th anniversary celebration.
