October 4, 2026 – Mariposa County Library officials announce Halloween art contest for all ages.

It's now October, which means it's time for our Halloween art contest! The library is hosting this through October 20. This is open to any age. Participants can create something related to Halloween and submit it at any county library site to be entered.

Art should be done on an 8.5x11 sheet of paper (copier paper). The artwork must be your original work. It can be done with pencil, colored pencil, paint, or just about any medium.

Submissions must have your name, phone number/email, and age on the back or attached on a separate sheet of paper to the submission. By participating, you acknowledge you may not receive your submission back.

Submissions are due by Tuesday, October 20.

An adult and child winner will be selected from each county library branch, and the winners will receive a prize.
