August 15, 2018 - The Ferguson Fire is burning on the Sierra National Forest near Yosemite National Park in Mariposa County.

96,606 Acres With Containment Rising To 87%
Planned Actions:
On the east flank, continue to hold and improve fireline from Badger Pass to Elephant Rock in Divisions G and H.
The fire east of El Portal and north of Highway 140 is in patrol status.
Crews are patrolling the fireline along the line on FS Road 2S20 and on the 13 Ridge, while others are addressing the spot near DP9 by removing hazard trees along roads and containment lines, while monitoring and securing the area.
If future spots or slopovers occur, alternate and contingency lines and resources are in place and may be utilized. Firefighters will mop up to secure control lines.
Suppression repair continues all along containment lines.
