October 11, 2026 – Lakewood Sheriff's Station officials report that last week, a member of the Lakewood Special Assignment Team conducted a traffic stop involving an e-moto bike. During the stop, the suspect fled on foot, leaving behind a backpack.

Deputies established a containment perimeter to locate and take the suspect into custody. During the investigation, deputies recovered the backpack and discovered multiple loaded firearms and several rounds of ammunition.

Great work by our deputies for their coordinated efforts and commitment to keeping our communities safe.
